Qist

كُونُوا قَوَّامِينَ بِالْقِسْطِ

Kūnū qawwāmīna bil-qisṭ

"Stand firmly for justice." Qur'an 4:135

The verse our name is drawn from

Our people are under attack. We answer, peacefully and in numbers.

Emboldened far-right movements at home and the Zionist occupation abroad, two forces ever more aligned, grow bolder against the vulnerable: our brothers and sisters across the region and on our own streets. Qist helps us mobilise better. Muslim men standing together, peacefully and within the law, to defend our families, our communities and what we hold sacred.

What this is, and what it is not

Qist is not a new organisation, and not another movement to join.

  • It is a curated mailing list. Nothing more, and nothing less.
  • We send you only the protests that truly matter, the crucial pinch points, and never a flood.
  • Those protests are organised by trusted groups such as the Palestinian Youth Movement. We simply connect the dots between you and them.
  • And we add what matters for us: how to show up as Muslim men, and the nearest prayer space to every protest.

What lands in your inbox

Only the protests that matter

A few crucial pinch points, sent when it truly counts. We will never crowd your inbox.

Who is organising it

Each call is run by trusted groups such as the Palestinian Youth Movement. We point you to them and help you show up.

The nearest prayer space

Where to pray near every protest, with wudu, parking, water and facilities noted.

How to show up as Muslim men

What our presence should look like: dignified, disciplined, and protective of the vulnerable.

Conduct and de-escalation

How to stay calm, stay lawful, know your rights, and never be drawn into conflict.

Our conduct

We are known by how we carry ourselves. These are not optional.

  • 1Stay calm. Do not react to provocation.
  • 2Stay lawful. We protest within the law, always.
  • 3Know your rights, and respect every steward and officer.
  • 4No violence, no damage, no slurs.
  • 5Protect the vulnerable, the elderly, and the young.
  • 6Leave every place cleaner than we found it.
  • 7Represent the deen with dignity. We are witnesses for justice.

Where we were not

Recent moments that called for our presence in numbers.

12 June 2026

Woolwich Crown Court

Four activists were sentenced to between four years eight months and seven years eight months for criminal damage at an arms factory in Filton. The court was given leeway to treat the protest as terrorism related. More than 100 people who gathered in support outside were arrested. Open justice means being present, in the public gallery and at the gates. We were too few.

14 June 2026

Edgware

An event in Edgware marketed plots of land in illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, land taken from Palestinians. Around 1,000 people gathered outside and arrests were made. Amnesty International, MPs and the Mayor of London condemned it. Stolen land was being sold on a London high street. Our presence should have been overwhelming, and lawful.

Be there next time.
